The one-stop-shop has featured more than 600 gold jobs from 19 gold companies, reaching more than 200 000 people across Australia. Its “get into gold” insights, including employment programs and pathways, has been popular with new and potential jobs seekers including students seeking out the resource.

GIG Chair Kelly Carter said the initiative had been a great success in its first year.

“This has been a ground-breaking resource for the gold industry to connect with the wider community and attract a new talent pipeline.

“It showcases the diverse opportunities in Australia’s gold industry through the roles advertised and the rich content it provides, appealing to jobs seekers from all backgrounds,” Ms Carter said.

“The year ahead will see our jobs advertised grow and new content on job roles go live.”

The first stage of roles in gold has been launched, featuring information on the range of roles in gold.

With GIG members’ ramping up production, completing expansion projects and increasing exploration budgets, Australian gold mine production is predicted to grow by 5.7% annually, which will see it’s 240 000+ direct and indirect jobs grow.

Candidates have also been keen to sign up to our Gold Jobs Newsletter and set up a Job Seeker account to be the first to receive the latest opportunities. Our national marketing activities have seen positive engagement from the community reaching more than 7.1 million.

Gold Jobs also compliments the GIG’s National Gold Education Program as not only a great resource for students and teachers, but the inclusion of engaging, curriculum-linked resources.
